Dr. Darryll Iwaszkiw

Born and raised in Charleswood, Winnipeg, Dr. Darryll Iwaszkiw wanted to become a dentist ever since she was a little girl.  

Aside from being one of our stellar dentists at Kildonan Crossing Dental Centre, she is a part-time clinical and pre-clinical instructor at the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry, a dentist at Health Sciences Centre where she treats medically compromised and special needs patients, and works at CancerCare Manitoba where she screens patients before beginning head and neck cancer treatment.

After receiving her B.Sc. (Honours) from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Dr. Iwaszkiw returned to Winnipeg and graduated from the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry. Here, she received the University of Manitoba Gold Medal in Dentistry and many other academic awards. In her second year of dental school, she co-founded Oral Health, Total Health Winnipeg, which is the local chapter of a national organization dedicated to “advocate, educate, and improve the oral health care of persons with special needs of all ages.” She worked with a team of students to host Winnipeg’s first annual Sharing Smiles Day - an interactive event that bridges the gap between people with disabilities and the dental community.

Dr. Iwaszkiw’s passion for serving medically compromised patients and those living with disabilities led her to pursue a one-year general practice residency program through the University of Alberta. 

She is very excited to be back practicing general dentistry in Winnipeg, where she wants to ensure that her patients feel their concerns are heard and their oral health goals met.
