We Accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) at Kildonan Crossing Dental Centre

August 6, 2025

At Kildonan Crossing Dental Centre, we believe everyone deserves access to quality oral health care. That’s why we accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), making it easier for eligible patients to receive essential dental services.

If you or a family member qualifies, you can expect the same professional, compassionate care we’re known for.

What Is the CDCP?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal initiative designed to help Canadians without private dental insurance access essential dental care.

As a subsidized program, CDCP covers part of the cost of treatment, and the amount each patient pays will vary depending on the procedure and their income. The plan covers a portion of preventive and restorative treatments, including:

  • Exams and X-rays

  • Cleanings and fluoride treatments

  • Fillings and extractions

  • Root canals and dentures

  • Gum disease treatments

Please note: cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening are not covered.

Who Is Eligible?

You may be eligible for CDCP if:

  • You do not have dental insurance through an employer or private provider

  • You are a Canadian resident who has filed a recent tax return

  • Your household income is under $90,000

To check your eligibility or apply, visit the official Government of Canada CDCP page. If you're already approved, request your appointment here.

Already have government dental benefits? You may still be covered.

Even if you’re enrolled in a provincial, territorial, or federal dental program, you could also qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). If you’re eligible, both plans will work together to coordinate your coverage, ensuring you’re protected without overlap or missing benefits.

Ready to Get Started?

If you're covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan, we’d be happy to welcome you to our clinic.
