Darryll was born and raised in Charleswood and wanted to become a dentist ever since she was a little girl. Apart from being a dentist at Kildonan Crossing Dental Centre, Darryll is a part-time clinical and pre-clinical instructor at the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry, a dentist at Health Sciences Centre where she treats medically compromised and special needs patients, and works at CancerCare Manitoba where she screens patients prior to beginning head and neck cancer treatment.
After receiving her B.Sc. (Honours) from Queen’s University in Kingston, ON, Darryll returned to Winnipeg and graduated from the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry with the University of Manitoba Gold Medal in Dentistry and a number of other academic awards. In her second year of dental school, Darryll was a co-founder of Oral Health, Total Health Winnipeg and worked with a team of students to host Winnipeg’s first annual Sharing Smiles Day, an interactive event that bridges the gap between people with disabilities and the dental community.
Darryll’s passion for serving medically compromised patients and those living with disabilities led her to pursue a one-year general practice residency program through the University of Alberta. Darryll is very excited to be back practicing general dentistry in Winnipeg. Darryll wants to ensure that patients feel their individual concerns are heard and intends on working together with her patients to achieve their personal oral health goals.
